France Lynch is a charming village next to Chalford Hill, near the Golden Valley, and is situated in an elevated position above the A419 which runs from Stroud to Cirencester. We are in an ideal location for guest visits to all Cotswolds attractions, historic Cheltenham with the Race Course and various Festivals, beautiful Bath, Westonbirt Arboretum, Badminton, Gloucester and its Cathedral, — and we are in Laurie Lee country with Slad and Painswick very near.
There is an abundance of country walks; we have information on these, other days out and many visitor attractions.
We have a wonderful pub within walking distance, the Kingshead (so drinking and driving no problem here), offering good value, quality meals and great wines and beers. The landlords run a wonderful Music Festival in July with visitors from the five valleys flocking here to enjoy the fun.
The area has a cornucopia of gastro pubs, details of which we can supply on request.
